Some outerwear announces itself before the wearer says a word. This one does it with typography, angle and a palette lifted straight from a arena floor.

Design Story

The composition runs diagonally: an oversized italic "KNICKS" wordmark cuts across the chest in white with orange outlining, anchored by "NEW YORK" above it and a small "MADISON SQUARE GARDEN" block at the opposite shoulder. Royal blue carries the body, broken by cream sleeve panels and a sweeping orange curve that wraps the lower front. Ribbed-look collar, cuffs and hem in striped blue, orange and white frame the whole thing and keep the loud graphic contained.

Layering & Wear

On a jacket silhouette, that diagonal wordmark works with the shoulder line rather than fighting it, and the color-blocked panels give the front real visual hierarchy — the eye lands on the type, then travels along the orange sweep. The trim striping closes the composition at collar, wrist and hem. Worn open over a plain tee and denim, it becomes the entire outfit's anchor.
