Design Story

The centre panel holds a spired castle on a wooded rise, backed by a full moon and a star-mapped sky, with a lake mirroring the light below. Around it, an illuminated-manuscript border carries roundels: compass roses, an armillary sphere, moon phases and daggers set on midnight discs. Banners read Per Ardua Ad Astra, Fortitudo et Fides and Lux In Tenebris, framing a crowned rampant-lion crest at the foot of the field. Cream margins with columns of script give the eye rest, so the gold scrollwork carries the rhythm and the castle keeps focal priority.

Room & Styling

As a rug, the hierarchy works at room scale: the medallion-style centre stays legible from standing height, while the border defines a clean edge against wood flooring. The crest anchors the near end, so the composition orients naturally toward seating, and the pale margin keeps dark furniture from crowding the field.
