Design Story

The front panel is built around a burnt-orange disc that anchors the centre and pushes the figure forward. She stands still, chin level, expression serious rather than heated, one hand closed around a segmented gold-and-blue staff. Copper hair spills across the circle and softens its hard geometry. Above her, condensed black numerals reading 366,000,000 stretch edge to edge under a slim DEAD OR ALIVE rule, while CAT BURGLAR NAMI cuts across the base in torn brush lettering. Small satellites — a skull mark, Japanese characters, a compass rose — fill the margins without crowding them. The palette stays disciplined: ink black, rust orange, warm neutral ground.

Carry & Styling

On a tote, the vertical stacking works in its favour. Type sits high near the handle line, the portrait holds the centre, and the brushed name closes the lower third, so nothing important disappears against the body when carried. Full-panel coverage gives it a poster read from across a room, yet the neutral base keeps it wearable with denim, linen or black outerwear.
