The first thing the eye finds is the fish: a sculpted tuna arcing across a black surface, rendered in aged bronze and gunmetal like a relic pulled from a wreck. Everything else on the wrap exists to frame it.

Design Story

The background is a field of engraved-looking contour lines, currents and nautical charting, with small compass roses anchoring the quieter corners. To the right of the fish runs a vertical depth scale marked 250M, 500M, 750M and 1000M, turning the vessel's height into a measuring instrument. A ruled bezel graphic circles the top, echoing dive-watch language. Beneath the fish the lettering reads ABYSS 1000M in restrained gold serif. Dark base, warm metallic highlights, no shouting — the contrast does the work.

Use & Experience

The composition understands the tumbler silhouette. The fish sits front and centre as the focal panel, the depth scale uses the vertical proportion instead of fighting it, and the chart texture wraps continuously so there is no dead side. Near the handle the pattern thins into negative space, keeping the grip area visually calm. Held in one hand it reads as a considered object rather than a printed cup.
